What to expect
I am offering online (via Zoom) and telephone sessions.
With Government restrictions easing from May 17th 2021, I am pleased to be able to offer a Covid-19 safe environment and return to face-to-face practice in my private, comfortable therapy room in Eastbourne.
My practice benefits from its elevated position directly above the beach, offering the experience of nature at its best. My light airy counselling setting provides a comfortable, confidential environment for whatever you choose to explore, with the gentle, relaxing sounds of the waves lapping the shore in the background
I offer a warm, empathic, therapeutic relationship and a safe space to explore your inner thoughts, feelings and behaviours. You can be reassured that I am non-judgmental and confidential.
I believe in the humanistic approach, in which you are the expert on yourself and have the ability to grow and reach your full potential. I believe you have the answers to your difficulties within you and we will explore them together. With my Integrative approach I use a blend of Person Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis (TA) theories.
I will be alongside you as you lead the sessions at your own pace. I will listen empathically and attune to you from your own perspective and life experience.
Our relationship is key to our work together, therefore I offer you a free no-obligation 40 minute session in which we will discuss your goals to ensure I am the right person to work with you on your journey. I will gain some understanding of what brings you to counselling now and what you hope to achieve.
Following this, we will work together for 50 minute sessions, on a weekly basis, either short term (6 - 12 weeks) or longer term. We will review our work together after 6 sessions and ensure we continue to work towards your goals. We will agree a mutually convenient day and time for the sessions and agree a contract of work with your goals in mind.
Initial 40 minute consultation is free.
Sessions are charged at £45 for each 50 minute session.
Payment is required at each session and can be made by BACS transfer.
Should you need to cancel a session, a 24 hour notice period is required, otherwise full payment will be charged.
Should I need to cancel I will do my best to rearrange the session for you as promptly as possible.
Please contact me for further details.

"Jen really helped me to feel better about myself at home in my caring role and at work."
Sally, East Sussex
"Jen was so nice. Easy to talk to. She was very respectful, patient and genuinely interested. I was at a point before of just reacting and feeling overwhelmed and she helped me change this."
Helen, West Sussex
"Jen was really fantastic, she listened and repeated stuff back to me and got the right balance of not giving her opinion but encouraging me to see another perspective. This balance is hard to find and she did that well."
Jonathan, East Sussex
"Jen made me feel relaxed, safe, happy, understood and listened to at every meeting. Outstanding service."
Charlotte, West Sussex
